Watercolor Fairy

Hi all!

I wanted to share a watercolor I made for a friend of mine...

 

 

You can't see it too well ut there is a lot of sparkle and shine

through out. I used stickles in both diamond and ice.

 

 

The image is from Sweet Pea Stamps...

called "Love Is Gone".

I can finally post this!

I made a frame for my sister, Kris, to thank her

for the tickets to Florida for my nieces wedding.

 

I used a Sweet Pea Digi Image called

The Humming Birds

 

 

and a close up

 

My sister has a humming bird on her shoulder, so I thought this was fitting!

I printed the image on canvas paper, colored it with

watercolor pencils, added some stickles and then for the background and frame

I added bothe bead and flake mediums that I had added

different colors of Lumere paint to.

I love the different textures and look to it.

This month we made projects using our favorite SSD image...

with a twist...we needed to add green to it!

I decided to use Marilyn Monroe.

I love this image!

I made a journal.

I used canvas paper to print her on...

not sure how I like it!

Colored her with watercolors and collaged the background.

I added lots of bling...diamonds are a girls best friend after all!

I chose the top line across!

 

 

This is a card I made for my niece, Becca for her

16th B-day...as if you couldn't tell! LOL

 

I made a double panel card. I think!

I used Lotus Perplexed.

The bling is on the folded paneland the 16, the ribbon is used as leaves

and of course the flowers!

Picture Heavy Post

Hi Everyone!

I want to warn you this is a picture heavy post!

My uncle was diagnosed with liver cancer in October...

giving him 2 months...

he is still going strong, ornery as ever.

This is a book frame that I made...about half way through I knew I was making it for him.



I took an old book that was missing several pages in the middle...problem was there wasn't a lot of strength to it so I took some book board and made a "cover for it. I took more pages out of the middle and cut rectangle "holes out of each side...glued the pages together and even added some harder glue from a glue gun to give more texture. The out side of the cover has bead, fiber, course and pumice mediums. Of course lots of paint...regular as well as Lumiere for the luster and shine. The image is from Crafts and Me..I used Copics and lots of glitter! The poem is just something I wrote.

A Birthday Card!

Hi!

Hope this finds you doing well today!

I am so excited! 

I am wearing my San Fransico T-shirt and am rearing to get the game started!

I must admit that I am a 2 timer...

I love my Patriots but have been a 49er fan since 1987 when I moved to AZ.

So I am really excited to have my long time team be a part of the SuperBowl

after such a long time of not even making it into the playoffs!

Anyway~

I am here to show a card I made using one of Scrapper's Delights

latest images called

Kyoko!

She is just a doll!

Using orange kind of bugged me...

I am so not an orange person....

don't even eat them and only drink the juice in a mimosa!

So I dirtied it us a bit with distress inks.

I kept it simple and used a few old style looking papers!

There is a challenge going on over there!

Off Colored Challenge

(this should have went yesterday but I could not get blogger to add my pic)

Sorry I am late!

I ended up with a horrible migraine and was in bed both Thursday and Friday!

Yesterday started the next challenge at Guylou's Inimitability.

The challenge is brought to us by Chana

and she has chosen a color challenge!

You projects must use...

ORANGE, BLUE and GRAY

and add a humorous sentiment.

I am not sure why but I had a hard time with this....

none of my papers looked right or

fit with what I wanted to end up with!
So I made a digital card...

I used one of the newest Lotus images called

Lotus and The Broken Umbrella!

The gray is the background paper and the umbrella!
