Can you believe we are already into February? Time always flies so fast which brings me to GI new challenge. To go along with February being “Heart Month” , the challenge is you have to use a heart on your project. Now this hits home a bit for me, because we recently lost Lou, who was a sales person, that worked for us. He was only 43 and had a heart attack back on the 6th of January. He had no known issues and was in good health. My husband and I continually ask ourselves if he had gone to the doctor, had some test done would that have saved him? It’s one question we will never get an answer to. So not only am I posting about a challenge for GI but I challenge you to not let this happen to you…go to your doctor, have a test done, take those steps needed to prevent a heart attack. Remember you are too important of a person to let this happen.
OK off my soap box now. Back to the challenge…make a project and make sure you have a heart somewhere on it and upload it to your blog or gallery. (link it up on Guylou’s Inimitability Blog ) I got to use the new “love seat” image and decided to add Sophie to it. She just has that look that say “Take care of yourself…I need you” so I thought she was perfect for this card.
I ended up printing her right on the seat but made a second image of just her so I could “pop” her dress up for some added dimension. I colored the image with copics and added chalk to the background rather than leave her hanging on the white. The paper is actually a giant tag the I cut to fit. I really liked the softness of the tag. I found this beautiful sheer ribbon, that is a gorgeous shade of brown. The hearts are charms that I cut off the ring. I think it came together pretty good.

The challenge starts today and will end on the 17th at 10pm EST. Don’t forget to check out the other DT member blogs and you can’t forget Starla’s. She was the winner of a previous challenge and not only got a free image but is our GDT this time around. Here is her blog…http://youcouldbewishingonastar.blogspot.com Don't forget to leave her some love!
Now get outta here and get your heart pumping, your creative juices flowing, and get a project entered! Remember creativity is good for your heart as well as for the person you give it to!
