Getting Ready For Easter

Hope every one had a fantastic weekend!

Both my husband I are sick, so I spent Saturday, after work, and Sunday on the couch!

Which means NO CRAFTING!!!

I am back at work today and just want to go back to bed! :)

Anyway I was trying to get an Easter basket done with

one of the adorable Bunny Girl images

from Scrapper's Delights!

I had the image colored early last week but

was going to put the basket together Sunday!

Here is what I have so far....

I am sitting at my desk at work....

yes I bring my coloring to work!

Nice to be married to the boss! LOL

Anyway I will post once I finish it!

Here is the card I made:

I used one of the images, For U digi, made especially for this hop.

Isn't she just adorable! When I saw her I thought of  Annie....

so I went with the reddish hair.

I added fabric flowers and fabric bows to give some more dimension!

I really like how this turned out!

Here's Daisy!

I have always been a fan of Elizabeth Bell and

when I found out that this stamp was going to be

re-released at Elphine House 

I knew I had to have it!

So here is Daisy!

You can use this stamp for so many occasions!

She is so adorable!

I used Prisma Markers to color her...and tried to

do the shadowing a bit different, I used grey instead of just a

darker color or darkening it up with the same color.
My coloring is a work in progress! LOL

The papers are from Basic Grey Sweet Threads

I used my Martha Stewart punches...the branch one and

the wide leaf or vine one. I never can remember the exact names!

Going Greeeeeeen!

OK I admit it, I am not a green person.

I can count on one hand, with fingers left over

the number of green shirts I have in my closet.

So when Sassy's sponsored the Crazy Challenge

and the theme was go green,

I cringed but signed up for it! :)

I have been wanting to use Syrena for so long

and had a new GREEN paper pad by K&Co

so figured it was fate!

Here is what I came up with:

I wanted to keep it pretty simple BUT

after Iadded the ribbon it needed something more so

I added the pearls, it is actually a grouping that Icut and stuck!

When I layed the image down I realized it needed some thing else too!

I looked for some fish net that I thought I had but could not find

so Ipulled out some of my tule. Believe it or not is is from

my wedding favors back in '04! I can't throw

anything away that Ijust may have crafting use for! LOL

I used copics to color her...I did her hair kind of messily....

I wanted the just out of the ocean look. HAHA

And I added clear star over her hair and tail....I tried

to get the picture angled enough but it still did not show very well!

Anyway I hope you like it!

I can not believe we are over half way through March!

Spring break is almost here and summer right around the corner!

OK I have to admit that I watch Dancing With The Stars.

I started watching it a few seasons in...

whatever season Jerry Rice was on it.

And then got kind of hooked!

Well it is starting soon and this image reminded me of that!

This is Princess 4 by Scrapper's Delights!

I absolutely love it!

I made 3 copies so I could layer it up....

 colored the image with Primas markers, added some

rhinestones, flowers and the lattice ribbon.

I Feel Purple!

We have a new challenge starting at

Guylou's Inimitability!

My wonderful design team member Trina

came up with the theme this week and that

theme is:

MONOCHROMATIC!

I tried to do a few things that just did not work!

I wanted to change up the plain purple paper I chose just a bit

by using versa mark and a background stamp!

The first time when I added my embossing powder, it

would not heat right...ok I admit it....Igrabbed my fine glitter

that was put in my embossing tray by mistake!

So after a few attempts here is what Icame up with:

 Each layer of paper has a heat embossed stamping

on it. The powder is a irredesent "color" to give it some shine.

I used one of Guylou's latest images called Felcia and the Mushroom.

You get two different images when you purchase her...one with the mushroom

that is plain and one with a design on it! Very cute!

Now you know it would not be a challenge with out rules and prizes.

It's Thursday!

It's Thursday and you know what that means!

This week the challenge is MONOCHROMATIC!

This is a hard one for me. I start out real good and then

I notice all my colors are the same shade.

So I really worked on trying to get this right!

I had colored this image awhile ago and never used it.

So when I saw it already colored and ready to go I decided to

use it as my inspiration!

The image is Victorian Beauty and can be found in the SSDStore!

The flower was from Prisma, the pearl sprays are from Michael's

and the ribbon I belive came from Joann's.

The paper is from a K&Co paper pad.

 used Copics to color her, Recollection rhinestones

and Prima flower.

For this card I wanted the image to be front and center...

having the elements small and more contained on the card.

spritzed with diamond mist.

I used Copics to color, charms from my stash,

paper that I bought at Joanns's ages ago, flower soft

for the foam, and clear glass finish for the glass.

I cut out the clover on her top and hat and popped them up!

This year is flying!

It is time for the latest CDAC Progressive Challenge!

I got to use Butterfly 4 by Crafting With Jack

The ribbon shows up more dark blue but it is purple!

I used some of my new glitter glass by Melissa Frances for

the spots on the butterfly...the popped the whole thing up.
