You're Gonna Be Charmed!

Crafty Catz is having a charm of a challenge and Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring! With their new images it is most definitely worth it to enter this one! All you have to add is a charm. So easy! Here is my take on it:

The picture does not do the charms justice so here is a close up:

I went with the perfume bottle and heart for a girly, soft feel to match Lingerie Lindsay. Hope you like it!

One Stop Craft Challenge!

There is a new challenge happening at One Stop Challenge that Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring! The theme of this one is stickers! When I read this I thought no problem I have soooo many stickers. BUT I have to admit this was a bit challenging. Everything I found just wouldn't work right or match the way I wanted it to UNTIL I remembered I had some sticker sheets in some folders, in a bin! So here is my card:

The stickers I used are the buttons and "celebrate" word strip.

 I added dimension
glaze to the bubble!

I tried to take a picture of the
stickers...didn't come out that great.

Hope you like it. And don't forget to check out the challenge as well as SSD. Lots of new images!

CDAC Challenge!

Guylou's Inimitability is sponsoring the Other Themed Challenge called The Three B Girly Girl Recipe Challenge at CDAC. So go check it out...there is an adorable freebie that happens to have found it's way onto my card! This is a recipe challenge so you have a few things that need to be added to your project! You gotta have bows, buttons and bling! Here is my card:

I hand stamped the background, colored her with copics and added silver for the sparkler! I wasn't sure how that would come out but it seems to work!

Sweet Summertime Challenge!

Whew, is it hot outside or what??? It hit 103* here today and when you are already feeling the heat at 8 am, it always makes me want to go home and eat some ice cold watermelon! Yum...I may just do that today! Talking about watermelon brings me to our next challenge at Guylou's Inimitability! Our host this week is Gina! She is one heck of an amazing woman with mad coloring skills...and if you don't believe me, just check out her blog! Miss Gina felt we needed to show our sweet side and make a summer themed project that MUST include not only the word "SWEET" on the front of the card but must also have a summertime theme, i.e. watermelon, ice cream, popsicles, (making myself hungry) flip flops, bathing suit, beach, sand, you get the drift right?

Here is my take on it....

I used Chuck Eating A Watermelon, made my own watermelons, and those black things are little ants! I really like this image, Chuck is so cute! Make sure you check out all the design teams creations. All the wonderfully talented women are listed on my side bar! My sweet sentiment came from our very own Tracy S. Thank gosh she is around to come up with some "sweet" sayings! Thank you Tracy!

Now make sure you follow the theme...."SWEET" and summertime things....and follow the guidelines as well! Check them out here. What would a challenge be without a prize. The winner will be awarded a $5 gift certificate from Guylou's Inimitability Store and will also be invited to be a Guest Designer on an upcoming challenge.

You will have until June 30th, 10:00 pm (EST or click here to find out the corresponding time where you are) to enter your cards or projects here. Be sure to add the link to your entry and not your whole blog as this makes it much easier on the team to find your creations. Thanks for participating!

Sassy Studio Designs New Release

Ok. I have been lucky enough to get to be a guest designer for SSD again! And I have been lucky enough to get in on this months wonderful new release! Lindsay, the talented artist and owner of SSD has outdone herself this month.

There is a scavenger hunt going on so check out all the deets here and there is a chat going on later tonight on the party blog here!

Let me just say two words......................Bella and Edward! OK technically it's three words! But you get my drift! I used 3 of the images...Bella, Edward and Immortal Love. Twilight is such a huge hit...I read the books before I saw any of the movies. And I must admit I just saw New Moon last weekend. Yes, I waited until it came out on movie channels. And I will be watching (or at least recording) Eclipse on the 27th.

Anyway...one of my daughters friends loves Twilight and was in need of a "boyfriend" card so I used these 3 images in a card for her. I kept it simple and tried to make it go along with a 14 year old's thoughts! Hope you like it!

Because I made a 3 fold card it was so hard to photograph!  I used notebook looking paper to follow the teenage theme. I felt like it was still missing something so I added the buttons with the branches.

This last picture didn't show up that well, but you get the jist of it. I added a piece on the inside for Bri to write on as well.

Anyway you have to check out the whole release here. And check out the Design Teams projects!

Elphine House, Australia

Next week, I will also be holding a Company Spotlight for, Elphine House, Australia, which will last five whole days. I did this last year for each of the companies who currently license my designs for rubber stamps, showcasing some of my personal fave designs released through their stores, and how we met as company and artist. It was a lot of fun!

The last company to spotlight was, Elphine House, Australia, but due to my moving to a new address back in September and October, I had to put things on hold. Now it is high time for EHA’s week in the spotlight! So be sure to keep your eyes on this space starting Monday, next week, to see some of the behind-the-scenes highlights about our beloved NEW company in Australia promoting Elisabeth Bell designs.

The week following EHA’s Company Spotlight, the Blog Candy Marathon continues with SCACD’s BIG blog candy give away! I have SO many beautiful stamps to give away through SCACD, so you’ll want to join us for this week!

Third in the Blog Candy Marathon will be, Belles ‘n Whistles, another BIG Blog Candy give away! Oh my, you will LOVE these delicious stamps that will be available for winning hehe.

And to wrap up our Blog Candy Marathon, I will be giving away some super delightful stamps through, Whiff of Joy! Beautiful stamps you won’t want to miss either!

Have a FABulous weekend, and good luck to each of you with Elphine House, Australia’s premiere blog candy, the first of FOUR amazing blog candy give aways in this exciting blog candy marathon!

Lots of Hugs,

Monochromatic Challenge at Guylou’s Inimitability

Are you ready for another challenge??? The wonderfully, talented owner & artist of Guylou's Inimitability is our host for this weeks Monochromatic Challenge! This was most definitely a challenge for me as I have never done one (specifically anyway) before. I may be able to find one or two projects that have monochromatic tendencies but never on purpose. I don't know why, because I have always liked the look of them.
Anyway, when G (as we call her) posted the theme I panicked. (And I so did not want to have a mess up like I did last challenge…did you notice??? The color scheme had greens and purples and I was the only DT member who did greens and pinks. I swear when I printed out the palette my colors looked pink :} So sorry Bren!!!!)
I was so nevrous I even emailed G to ask her advice on what I had planned and then emailed her a copy to make sure the card I made would work. I know, I know I am completely crazy!
Now onto the card made. I knew I needed a wedding card for Jerry, at work, he got married on the 22nd of May. So the image, I knew was going to be "William and Kate", and since their colors are white and black I figured it would be perfect card for a monochrome card. So I was on my way until I started going through my papers and could not come up with patterns I liked enough for a wedding card. So I started going through my digital scrapbooking kits and found two that I really liked and thought would be perfect for Jerry! So here it is:

I used both copic and prismas to do my coloring and used embossing on the dress..here is a close up and the inside:

I really liked how this came out. And this post is of course after the wedding..and Jerry has informed me that they both loved it. WHEW....so glad they did!

We have a few "special surprises" going on with this challenge not only do you have a chance at winning a digi or two, a guest designer spot BUT a chance at a year PDF subscription to "Through The Craftroom Door". They were kind enough to sponsor this challenge! Check out all the info here. And don't forget to check out the wonderful DT (they are listed on the left) and our guest designer, Shelly Schmidt, blogs to see what they came up with! The challenge will end on the 16 at 10 est. Go forth and have some fun!

Will There Be A Change?

Kind of a weird title, I know. But it is what I am asking myself. I just bought and received a new line of products for my skin. It is supposed to make your skin healthier, younger and all around better. I have always taken pretty good care of my skin but never really focused on age, wrinkles or anything along that line BUT I am ready to turn 40 in September and figure I had better start thinking.
I was a smoker until I became pregnant in 1996 and at the same time found out my dad had lung cancer. Needless to say I never picked the bad habit up again. Because I quit when I was still in my 20's I think that helped with the "crows feet" and mouth lines for the most part. I am also one of those lucky women who still get "pimples". I have tried Pro-Active and it does ok but not to the degree that the commercials claim.
Anyway when I went to the "Girls Night Out" a few months back I found this line of products called L'Bri and finally decided to try them out. I received my package yesterday and am planning to start the regime tomorrow I took a picture this morning after my shower..clean face and no make-up...to show the before picture. Hopefully I will remember to take a picture every few weeks to see if there is a difference. This picture is horrible..never realized my nose was crooked...my eyebrows need plucked (next Tuesday appt)...and the wrinkles aren't as prominent as in person. Here is the picture...don't scream!

There are wrinkles at my eyes and a few at my mouth..but I really want to see if it will improve my texture, pimples, and overall smoothness. Fingers crossed.
