Sassy Studio Designs New Release and Blog Hop!

HI!
Hope you all are having a fantabulously sassy weekend!
If you are looking for the Sassy Studio Designs New Release Hop
and came from the wonderfully talented Jackie's blog
you are in the right place...if you missed anything along the way you
can start go back to the SSD blog and start at the beginning!

So Lindsay has made a few new holiday images, as well as revamped
a few older ones...you are going to love them all! I do!

I got to create with Hanging The Wreath

I made a 3D project...

I created the frame using cardstock and lots of glue...
added silver and gold heat embossing for color.
The background is cardboard that I added some texture to and
then some Tim Holtz stains (about 5 colors) and distress ink.
I colored the image with Copics and lots of stickles.
The door and window are cut out with my silhouette, with
acetate and tracing paper...I also inked them to give
the light in the background look. Oh and the
trees are also a diecut from silhouette.
OK now on your way to the absolutely fabulous

Enjoy the hop!

DTBST #205 R U Green?

 Happy Thanksgiving!
WOW can you believe it is already turkey time
and Christmas is just around the corner.
OMG I have no idea where the time has gone!
Anyway it's
http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.com/

And this weeks theme is
R U Green?
We want you to make projects that use
recycled, reused or re-proposed things!
I used a box that I got with samples of Golden Products...
I took a picture of the box before I started and then a few of the process but for the life
of me I cannot find them! LOL
I used Katniss Girl on Fire for my image....
coloring her with Copics.
So I painted over the box with white gesso, then used a mix of an
iridescent acrylic paint and a light molding paste.
I used very little..just wanting a touch of texture.
Then added some cheesecloth using a bit of the mixture I madefor the glue.
Used a diecut from Silhouette...sponging ink and using heat embossing to
give it strength and stiffness.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid and I
used some diamond smooch spritz to give them shine!
I love to make stuff like this...now what
to do with it! LOL

DTBST #204 Count Your Blessings!

http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.com/

Today's DTBST theme is
COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!
You need to have your projects with Thanks in mind.
Either with thank you sentiments, blessings or Thanksgiving theme.

Here is what I created using an image from the Round The World Honeys..

I used copics to color her...adding stickles to her barrette and fan.
Added the mesh after using heat embossing to change the color!
Here is the inside...

Check out the other projects here.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Yesterday was my mom's 73rd birthday!

Here is the card that I made for her..

I used the Sagittarius image from Simply Betty Stamps.
Colored her with Copics, used papers from a Taylored Expressions kit,
and flowers from recollections.
The ribbon is Snug Hug seam binding that I colored
with inks after spraying other things with different sprays!
OK what that really means is whenever I use any of my sprays
on stuff I will keep seam binding, cheesecloth or other materials and
use them to soak up the extra spray. Viola I get all kinds of
crazy colors when I decide it's done!
ANYWAY
My mom said she liked it, so made me happy!
Happy Creating!

DTBST #201 Happy Veteran's Day!

Don't you just love Thursday!
One day closer to Friday and
Sassy Studio Design's next challenge!

This week we are preparing for
Veteran's Day
which is next Monday!
The challenge is to create a project using either colors of your country,
a project for a military person or a project using a SSD military image.

Here is what I made using Navy Sailor Honey

I have great respect for our military;
both retired and enlisted.
I think it takes alot to go through what they have.
My great uncle was in the military...
fought in World War II
oh so many years ago...
My mom actually has the telegram of when he went MIA.
It was crazy to see it and know that he was fighting for us as a country
and died fighting...never to be brought home.
And there have been way too many that did not come home.

I hope you enjoy all the projects that the DT came up with...
you can check them out here.

Happy Veteran's Day
Happy Creating!
