Dare To Be Sassy Thursday! #96

Well another post that did not go like it should! sorry!

Hey everybody!
Today is the start of another DTBST!
This week the theme is your favorite movie..

I am sure that even with out the sentiment you can figure it out....
Grease was the first drive in movie I went to way back in 1978.
Then anytime it was going to be on HBO I would try to stay home from school.
AND I wanted to be a pink lady so bad! lol Come on admit it....you did too!

The image is Sock Hop Sweetie 2
I used prisma markers to color her and paper from my stash!

Some Halloween Tags

Hiya! Happy Hump Day!
Hope you all are having a glorious day so far!
We are going to get up to 90 again today but cooling down as the weekend draws closer...
yea right...it will drop down to 85! LOL

I have a thing going on at the kids school for Halloween and we need to have food labeled
with what it is and what is in it...so I made some tags that will go in front of each dish.

I used several of the images that Scrapper's Delights released for Halloween...
Sabrina the witch, Evelin, Esmelda and the Grimreeper!
I used the colored ones because of how small I printed them, but
I added some clear spica to get them to sparkle!
I hope you like them!

I want to enter them in the following challenges:

Bearly Mine                         Anything but a card
Shopping Our Stash             Halloween colors
Crafty Boots                        Autumn or Halloween
Paper Creations Ink             Halloween

Sassy's Is Sponsoring

I had this ready to post yesterday and I am not sure what happened! But here it is!

Hello! It's just another Manic Monday!
I watched a show called "Up All Night" and they had a cover band for the Bangels...
I loved them growing up oh so many years ago!

Anyway onto the reason for this post!
Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring The Crazy Challenge this week.
The theme is SCARY LADIES!
So this is what I came up with....

I choose to use the Red Queen...
she just seems to be a very scary lady...don't you agree?
Hope you like it!
I used the card frame from Scrapper's Delights, colored the image with both copics and prisma  markers, added some crystal wire pieces and the paper was just from my stash!
The black outline on the coat is black enamel from Ranger but I didn't like it so I added some black tinsel glitter form recollections. I wanted it a bit more shiny but it does not shoe that well in the photo!
I want to enter this card in the following challenges:

Party Time Tuesdays           Anything goes
Make It Monday                 Anything goes

WAHOOOOOOOOO

Sorry I did not get my card done like I wanted to last night because
we had the home coming game!
Guess what......

TYLER IS THE NEXT
TANQUE VERDE HIGH SCHOOL
HOME COMING KING!!!!

Here are some pictures we took!

They 3 contenders came in at the end of the parade...they each had a corvette and the queen from last year crowned the king and queen.

He was completely surprised when they called his name!

I have no idea what he was doing but he seemed happy! All hail the king! LOL
That's our boy! Number 72!
Thanks for letting me be a proud step mom!

Introducing Steampunk Victoria!

This will be a quick post...I wanted to get this up
yesterday but never found the time!
This next challenge is vintage or victorian.

Steampunk Victoria!

I colored her with my metallic watercolors...wanted to have a bit more shine...
and copics. I distressed the papers a little and used a diecut for the
side pieces...inked the edges and added the pearls with mini roses.
The roses were a greenish color so I used the metallic watercolor and colored them to match!
Can't wait to see what you all create with her!
Make sure you check out PCP and the SSD blog!
HUGS!!

This Week's Fabulous Freebie Friday!!!

Go there now, before it's too late. LOL
Seriously, if you have not joined us on PCP for FFF you are missing out!
This week's image is called "Bewitched" and she is sassily bewitching!
The theme is Halloween and she is perfect for a Halloween card/project!
I made this card:

I actually colored her dress and boots on my computer using Paint Shop Pro. Black is sometimes so hard to get colored nice and clean so I cheated! LOL The rest of her is done with Copics! The bling is from recollections. I kept the paper simple and added bling and flowers to "pretty it up! I also layered a second image on the top so in real life you can see the "popped" look that it has!
Hope you like it! And don't forget to check out the projects the DT made!
These are the challenges I would like to enter:

Can You Follow A Recipe?

Before we get into our next Guylou's Inimitability Challenge, I want to thank all of you fantastic people out there, who not only left some love for G (on B-day hop) but to all of the DT members as well. Sometimes we don't take the time to thank you for the great comments and love you leave...just so you know it truly does mean the world to me.

OK now onto the next challenge!
This challenge is brought to us and you by Gina!
I cannot tell you all the wonderful things about her (it would take to long)
but if you check out her blog you will find them all out for yourself! Love you Gina!
We have a recipe to follow!
F ~ Fabric
A ~ Amber (color)
L ~ Lace
L ~ Leaves

Here is what I came up with:

I used Chuck and Pumkin and Dorothy and Pumpkin 2 for my images.
That is fabric behind the images and crocheted lace at the top.
I added hanging leaf charms and then stuck some leaves and acorns all over.
Some of the leaves are amber colored...so there is my recipe.
I do want to add an amber colored candle to it...when I find the right shade.
The fabric I cut a basic shape and ran it through my zyron, glued it to a piece of cardstock,
then ran it through my cuttlebug with a spellbinders die. The crocheted lace I hot glued on
and used jump ring to secure my charms. It was pretty easy to do...
maybe you can do one for your holiday decorations!
Our guest designer this week is Jen from http://jencraftsa.blogspot.com/
So check out her project and leave some love!
The challenge runs from today through 10pm (EST) on the 3rd of November!
So get on it! As always follow the guidelines on the challenge blog!
Have a wonderful day! HUGS!!!

Next In The Steampunk Challenge

Here is the card that I made using the latest steampunk:

Steampunk Amelia!

This challenge is Time Flies!
You must use a clock and/or gears on your project!
I did not have any clock faces so I added some gears, cogs, and a pointer.
The chain was an after thought...I knew it needed something and I had several chains in my junk drawer!
Can't wait to see what every one creates!

I've Got Steam On The Brain!

Steampunk that is!

We hit over 500 on the PCP forum and SSD will not
let that pass without a celebration!
So we are having a progressive challenge!
Have you ever done a progressive challenge before? If not basically
you get the first image free...you have a specified time to make a project with said image
and if you do you will get a second image and it continues.
For this challenge you will receive

Isn't she hot? And the next ones are just as hot...if not more!!
Kind of a mix of Mae West and Lara Croft!
Is your interest piqued, yet???
For this first challenge you must have metal embellisments!
I couldn't find what I was initially going to use so I made my own!
I wanted more of a silver look so I used some wire and twisted me some "leaves"
added some metallic silver on the flowers and her buckles,
added metal brads to the center of the flowers and then finally the
swirls are not rhinestones but metal stud thingys!
Yup that is a technical term!
The silver background paper was made with silver embossing powder.
I wish that the picture had come out a bit better,
but with no flash it was worse and at certain angles the metal caused to much glare!
Hope you can see it ok!!
Now head on over to the SSD Blog and get your image, you'll be glad you did!
She is only there till the end of the day!

Next CDAC Progreesive Freebie Challenge!

Hello all of you wonderful bloggers out there!
Can you believe it is halfway through October?
Have you started your Christmas shopping? To be honest, I used
to have all of my shopping and wrapping done by Thanksgiving...but
with the economy and business the way it is...well it will be a small simple Christmas this year!
I know a lot of you are in the same boat, so it makes this Progressive Freebie Challenge from CDAC
WONDERFUL! You not only get a few freebies, you have the chance at bonus images and prizes!
Always great when you can do what you love and get something out of it!

Here is the project that I made.

This is Christmas Bunny from Digi's By Phooka.
I wanted to make a few wine bottle toppers for some Christmas presents I am going to give away!
Who doesn't like cheap wine???LOL Kidding.
There are a few places here in AZ that make great wine and is resonably priced.
The one with the green back ground is a laser diecut sheet of paper.
The other one is just a piece of paper that came from my stack of Christmas papers!
I used recollections tinsel glitter...I think that is what it is called...on the hat
and then some little embellies from different kits.
The actual card is a card that has the pop up piece at the top..
I was wondering what I was going to do with them!
Hope you like them!!
Make sure you tag your photo CDACPC5

Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness. Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women and the second leading cause of death. Your best weapon against breast cancer is EARLY DETECTION through two common methods of breast screening: breast examination (self and clinical) and screening mammography. Your health is important; you are important. Take good care of yourself.

Our next challenge at Guylou's Inimitability is one that is near and dear to my heart...literally because it is one to celebrate breast cancer awareness! But also because cancer seems to run rampant in my family...both maternally and paternally. I will not go into depressing details but suffice it to say, I get checked out periodically. OK back to the challenge!

Our host this week is the lovely and talented, Sara! And she wants your projects to be mostly in PINK and have a PINK ribbon. You must check out her blog and see her fantastic creation! And check out my side bar for all of the other design team members blogs!

Now for me PINK is easy. I love pink. My favorite color growing up was always blue but about 10 years ago BAM I changed! Now I like PINK. Weird, I know!

I went to the dollar store a few weeks ago and bought a few glass candle holders, vases and found some cute shadow boxes SOOOOOO I decided to make a shadow box for this challenge! I painted it on off white, thinking it would match any decor, added pieces of paper from a pad I bought, added a rhinestone ribbon some sentiments, poem and of course added Leah w/Ribbon!

The poem I got from a site onine that was written by a nurse, that worked in the cancer ward.
I really liked the words and the meaning behind them.
It's a bit blurry but I think you can read it ok!

This challenge starts today and continues until the 20th of October!
There are so many new images that Guylou has created so make sure you check them out at the store.
Follow the challenge rules and have some fun!
The other team members are listed on the left so go give them some love! And our guest designer is Patti...you can check out her blog here.
Guylou designed a new image in honor of the Breast Cancer Awareness program and for reaching over 250 followers on this blog. Gabrielle and ribbon is available for free between October 7th and 14th at Guylou's Online Store. Please use the code BCA-GABRIELLE at check out to get her free.

HUGS!!!!

Dastardly Divas!

This is a card that I made for Sassy Studio Designs Fabulous Freebie Friday! The image is Vampire Rosalie and is a retired image that Lindsay brought out just for this challenge! Now each and every Friday the wonderful Regan of Charmed Stamping will post on PaperCraftsPlanet a new Freebie BUT it is only good for 24 hours! Hope you like my card!

BTW I am so excited to announce that I am one of the newest members of the SSD Design Team! Now I have even more reason to be SASSY!!! LOL It is such a pleasure to join the wonderful ladies of SSD!

I used Copics to color and paper from "Photo Stack"

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:

I Did It Creations                 Halloween
Creatalicious Challenges       Anything Goes
