DTBST 170 Something Funny

Hi!
Today starts the next DTBST

The theme for this week is
Say Something Funny or Witty
With April Fool's day just around the corner we figured it would be good
to include a funny or witty sentiment on your projects.

Here is mine...


The sentiment basically say you are beautiful, strong and courages...you will go as far as you want.
I know it is not funny or witty but since I made this for my daughters room
I figured she would want know how I feel about her!
Hope you like it...
I used my silhouette for the eiffel tower and of course Miss Honey France!

Gothgirl Bookmark!

It seems like it has been forever since I posted anything!
Anyway I have a small project to share...

I used gothgirl from Scrapper's Delights..
kept it pretty flat to be able to use as a bookmark.
This is a colored image that I fell in love with!
The shading and highlights that Janice used are gorgeous!
You can check them out in the store!

there is a lot more than stuff for scrapping!

Scrapper's Delights Easter Blog Hop

Here is what I made:


I used one of the images from the Easter Bundle.
I made the side step cardwith my silhouette.
Colored the image with Copics
 and added the roses and stuff from my stash!
You can't see it in the photo, but the bunny tail has fluff on it.

Follow The Yellow Brick Road SSD Release Hop!

Hi.
You should have found me from the Lindsay's Blog..
if not, you're lucky you only have to go back 2 spots!! :)
Welcome to day two of the new release blog hop!
Our theme, is the movie
"The Great And Powerful OZ"
the images are all based on the characters.
I got the honor of using Glinda the Good Witch...

I used copics for her body and hair but used glitter and
diamond stickles on her dress, crown and wand.
This step panel card was made with my new silhouette.
Finally went out and splurged!
Gotta love back child support!

OK back to the hop...
I have been lucky to have met a special person..
she is incredibly talented, a loving mother and all around good person..
For the longest time she was a part of this design team..
a huge part of me being here as well.
But due to time, or lack there of, being a single mother
she stepped down...we miss her...
I can only be talking about
REGAN
Miss Wonder Woman herself!
She is next on the list.
Hopefully not for the last time!

Couple of things at SSD

It's that time of year again...Design Team Call Out!
So if you want to join in the SSD team we are looking for
about 6-8 new Sassy Sisters to join our team.
What would be expected...
This will be a 6 month term starting April 1 2013 and ending September 30 2013
We will have releases once a month every month usually on the 2nd Saturday of each
month that weekend will be release party weekend. You will required to participate in
the Release parties to the best of your ability (I say that because I understand
we have international fans as well adjust different time zones
here in the US so I am understanding to that)
For each release you will receive all of the images being released in
return you will have to create 1 project for each image unless otherwise specified
 (if we have a large release I'll cut the numbers)
On occasion if we have a special bonus release you will also receive all of the images
from that release but will only be required to create 1 project for it and if you
do more you can earn more free images for it.
You will be required to participate in Challenges each month they will be assigned so you will know in advance as well as our many sponsorships. Our goal is to share the workload and make sure there are samples of all of our images and for all of our challenges and events. They will be assigned as to make sure it is spread out evenly and to give you advance notice of what you are to do, however you are always welcome to go above and beyond and create more projects and participate in more challenges and events if you wish
You must regularly post your creations on SCS PSP and your Personal Blog and to start you off you will be provided 5 SSD images of your choosing so everyone on the team has something to start with
You will also get a 30% discount on all images you wish to purchase above and
 beyond what you are given for free.

Name, Location, How long have you been crafting,
Your Design Team Experience, and Why you want to be a part of SSD
and don't forget to include links to your blog and any online galleries

Send images of no more than 6 projects you have done they can be
 card's scrapbook layouts, digital layouts, 3-D projects etc....
However at least one of the projects must use an SSD image, any SSD image of your choosing.
The Deadline to get your submissions in is March 29 at 11:59PM PST.

DTBST 167 Go Green!

This week at
 
 
We are going green!
The theme is to add, use or make something
that is recycled.
So I have a friend whose daughter is having twins!
She wanted something she can add the sonogram picture
and a little something to give to her...
this is what I made...
 
I used a book...a self help book about raising kids and keeping cool...
thought it might help! LOL
I left it blank so that she can decorate it personally for her daughter.
The cover was really soft, so I made a new one with book board.

Scrapper's Delights New Design Team Blog Hop

Hi!
Welcome to the first hop of the new team for


Hopefully you have arrived from the fabulously talented
(if you haven't please start at the beginning...
you do not want to miss anyone or anything)
This hop is to give you the opportunity to
learn a little about each of us on the wonderful team...

So I would like to introduce myself...
My name is Kim, I live in the extremely hot Tucson, AZ.
I am married...for the second time...I always say the first time
I married for my daughter, Jenna and
the second time I married for love. 
I received not only a great marriage but 2 great step-sons!
I also have 2 of the most gorgeous dogs ever!
We own 2 pure bred Japanese Akitas. Both are retired show
dogs, one because of health issues and one because she hated it! LOL

This is Zilla (I did not name her) and Koda.

-What do you consider your style is?
This is a hard question, believe it or not.
For me it depends on what I am creating and for whom I am creating it.
I am finding myself going a bit more into the mixed media realm. But as
for an actual style...eclectic, works!

-What is your favourite tool or technique to use?
Tool would have to be my copics. I finally own all of the colors in the sketch!
My favorite technique would have to be...
adding ink..spray, distress or daubers.

-What is your favourite embellishment?
HMMM who came up with these questions?
Oh right, me.
Ribbons, flowers and pearls,
Rhinestones, charms and twine,
Anything that goes together
you may find on a project of mine!

I love to create...I find if I do not get into my crafting room
a few times a week, I am ready to go postal.
We own our own business and working 40 plus
hours a week, raising a child (the boys are older0, taking care of a house,
well it can be stressful...my creating something allows
me to stay sane and deal with customers! LOL

So here is what I created for this hop...




I made a group of 5 tags using the Magna Beach Series. I fell in love
with this little girl and thought what a perfect set of images to use for a tag "book".
I used grunge board/paper from Tim Holtz, with the tissue paper from him as well.
I used a combonation of fiber, molding and soft gel medium mixed with an iridescent acrylic..
then spritz it with Dylusions sprays. Stamped som Tim Holtz stamps and added flowers, ribbon,
and a bunch of little embellies! Threw a bead chain around it and VIOLA...
I have a inspirational tag book for my daughter!
And here is my part of the code for the $50% off!
