Good News

I received some fabulous news!

I have been accepted as one of the writers for

Mixed Media Art Article Writers Team.

I am so excited to be a part of this group!

 

I will be writing an article a month starting in March.

 

For those of you who know me, you know

how much I love to make mixed media and projects that are a bit outta the box!

Writing will be the part that is new to me...

as well as remembering to take pictures each step of the way!

I hope you come along and enjoy the ride,

in this journey I call life!!

Spring Has Sprung...Sassy Studio Designs Blog Hop!

This time around we here at Sassy Studio Designs

 are celebrating SPRING!

If you live were I do (AZ) then you are celebrating summer!

It is supposed to be 93 today!

OK back to business!

We were to make anything but a card for this challenge

Now I struggled with this..I know

you wouldn't think that from all the "other than a card" I make but

for some reason with this image, Sassy Cupid, I had a hard time...

I made a shadow box using a box bottom....

spraying it with a few shades of blue, brown and green.

Added some grass from a die cut, clouds and a border.

Oh and of course the flowers...

what would a project about spring be without flowers?

  My sentiment says...

"And then my soul saw you and kind of went...

Oh there you are, I've been looking for you"

I kind of made her more an ANGEL than a cupid!

Butterfly Frame

I finally sent my sister a frame that I 

made WEEEEEEKKKKKS ago...

we agreed to no Christmas presents sooo I waited to give it to her!

I used bead medium, heavy gel and flake medium.

Spritz it with 4 different sprays...

added flowers that were sprayed with diamond spritz and of

course added the sentiment and butterflies.

When Kris and I went to Tennessee she saw this

sentiment on a wood block at a craft fair we went to sooo

I chose to use it for her!

She called and said she loved it!

Make It Sparkle!

Hi!

Today I have a card I made for our latest challenge (CMM#80) here at

Card Makin Mamas!

Anyway here is the card I made...

I used "Mermaid Tying A Ribbon"

You can't see all the sparkle...

but I added glitter pen to the scales, hair and ribbons.

The papers have glitter and then I used a viva decor pen 

for the dots on the frame.

 I am not completely thrilled with my coloring!

The hair is not what I had in mind and well...

I am not sold on the yellow!
